I’ve always loved going into bookstores and looking at book covers. It’s a great activity for a rainy Saturday. I love book cover design because of the mystery behind them. You wonder why the cover is designed that way, then once you read the book, it all makes sense. I also love highly intricate and decorative covers with lots of colors.

My idea for thesis was to make the book of Hercules into a book series. I wanted to break the book up into four sections, evenly divided by the 12 labors Hercules must perform in the novel. Each book cover visually represents 3 labors each, but also explores other parts of the story depending on what section.
